Sumter, SC (WLTX) - Sumter police have arrested a 13-year-old boy they say set fires at three different.
The boy is charged with three counts of arson third degree and one count of burglary first degree.
Offices say last Friday night, they got a call of a blaze on Sampson Street. People inside the home said someone broke the front window and set the curtains on fire. Previous Coverage: Serial Arsonist Charged in Fires
Hours later, firefighters were called back to Sampson Street to another home where someone had set a couch on the front porch on fire.
Finally, on Saturday, a vacant home on Walker Street was set on fire.
Officers say they suspected the 13-year-old early in the investigation, and they say they found evidence linking him to the crimes.
The boy was taken to the Department of Juvenile Justice in Columbia.
