Columbia, SC (WLTX)  Ivory, a hound/beagle mix is doing well after having four bullets removed from her legs and chest, but veterinarians are still worried that she may lose her leg.

The eight-month old hound was living with a foster family(the Pets Inc facility had no room in their adoption room) and was available for adoption through Pets Inc. when she got out of her yard and returned with four gunshot wounds.

According to Pets Inc. she seems to understand that she is being helped and thanks her caregivers the only way she can, with a nudge and a kiss whenever anyone sits next to her.

There is some worry that her injuries will prevent her from being adopted, and says Pets Inc., "that is the saddest part of her story."

If you'd like to help Ivory or adopt her you can call Pets Inc. at 803-739-9333.
