Aiken, SC (WLTX) -- A 51 year old Georgia man was pronounced dead after being struck by a car in Aiken County, South Carolina.
Berry Playford of Augusta, Georgia, was riding a Honda motorcycle on Highway 1 in Aiken County Monday afternoon, when the driver of a Dodge Charger disregarded a traffic signal struck him.
Edward Roland, of Hephzibah, Georgia, was uninjured in the 6:40pm crash. SC Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
Emergency crews transported Playford to Georgia Regents University Hospital in Augusta, where he was pronounced dead.
