Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Columbia police are searching for a suspect they say robbed a pharmacy Saturday morning.

The incident took place about 9 a.m. at the Walgreens at 7412 Broad River Road.

Officers say the suspect walked up to the pharmacy counter and demanded several prescription medicines, including pain pills. At one point, the suspect lifted his sweatshirt to show what may have been a weapon in his waistband.

No one was hurt during the incident.

Investigators believe he got away in a dark blue, older model, 4 door full-size pickup that might have damage on the right side.

Police are investigating to see if the crime is connected to the robbery of a Rite Aid on Broad River Road earlier in the week. Previous Coverage: Suspect Robs Rite Aid
