Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- Richland County Deputies have arrested a man they say fired shots at security guards outside of Club Caprioska early Sunday morning.
Officials say deputies were patrolling the 7000 block of Parklane Road around 2:30am when they heard shots fired.
According to deputies 32-year old Douglas Boyd and four females were asked to leave Club Caprioska after causing a disturbance.
Outside the club, deputies say Boyd got into a verbal altercation with security guards. Boyd then got into a vehicle, driven by one of the females, but then jumped back out of the car and started making verbal threats at the guards.
According to deputies, the security guards pepper sprayed Boyd. Boyd then got back into the car but as he started to leave, he fired shots at the guards.
Officials say the guards did fire back, but no one was hit or injured.
According to deputies, the hand gun Boyd used was stolen.
Deputies are still investigating this incident and questioning witnesses.
