Columbia, SC (WLTX) - A collision on Interstate 126 involving a police officer slowed traffic coming into Columbia around noontime.
The collision took place near the Huger Street exit. All lanes into the city were affected, but have since reopened to traffic.
State troopers say the Columbia police officer was attempting to stop traffic so SCE&G could do utility work. Traffic began slowing down, but a truck wound up rear-ending a sedan. The sedan, in turn, collided with the rear of the police car.
There were no injuries.
