MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) - A quick moving system has brought snow all the way to Myrtle Beach, but caused few problems in South Carolina.
The first band of snow fell along Interstate 85 Saturday afternoon, dropping up to 3 inches of snow in Spartanburg.
The second round started not long before sundown Saturday around Rock Hill and moved southeast to the Grand Strand. Up to 4 inches of snow was reported in York County, with an inch or two reported in places like Winnsboro, Bishopville and Florence. There was even a dusting of snow on the beaches of the Grand Strand and flurries reported north of Charleston.
The Highway Patrol reported more wrecks than usual, but no serious incidents. No major power outages were reported, either.
