Williamsburg County, SC (WLTX) - State troopers made an arrest Wednesday in the fatal collision that left a high school basketball coach dead.

Officers announced they took 37-year-old Daveline Holmes into custody and charged her with reckless homicide and leaving the scene of a collision involving death.

Bail for Holmes woman was set at $115,000.

Police say 39-year-old Sonya Burgess was killed when she swerved to avoid Holmes's car coming towards her in the wrong lane. According to investigators, Burgess had failed to yield while pulling out of a convenience store.

Officers say Burgess overcorrected and her SUV overturned. That's when we're told Burgess got out of the SUV and was hit by another unknown vehicle that left the scene.

A surveillance video from the convenience store helped officers identify Homes. The investigation continues.

Burgess was the girls basketball coach at Kingstree High School.
