Lexington County, SC (WLTX) - The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal accident involving an ambulance in Lexington County.

The accident happened at 1:19 Tuesday morning on South Carolina Highway 302.

Troopers say an International Ambulance was traveling east when the driver of a truck traveling west crossed over the center lane and was struck on the right side by the ambulance. The driver of the truck was not wearing a seatbelt and pronounced dead on the scene. The driver and passenger in the ambulance were not injured.

The victim's name has not yet been released. This incident is still under investigation.
