BARNWELL, S.C. (AP) - South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley's foundation is bringing a job fair, cancer screenings and free vaccinations to Barnwell County.
The Original Six Foundation will be at Barnwell High School from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. It is the fifth community day for the foundation, which tries to bring private support to solve problems in poorer, rural areas of South Carolina.
Barnwell County's community day will include a job fair with job training and resume workshops. The Hollings Center Cancer Mobile Unit will be on site for cancer screenings and nurses will offer free flu and tetanus vaccinations. There also will be free medical, dental and diabetes screenings.
The foundation has already had community days in Allendale, Bamberg, Marion and Marlboro counties.
