Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- City of Columbia Water Works has repealed a Boil Water Advisory affecting areas around Broad River Road and Mount Vernon Church Road in Richland County.
After an intense flushing of the area's system, samples were collected and analyzed by the City of Columbia Water Works. The results indicate the system is now safe to use for drinking and cooking purposes.
Those customers living in the following areas no longer need to boil their water prior to drinking or cooking: Brookstone Subdivision, Rolling Creek Subdivision, Wescott Ridge Subdivision, Courtyard Subdivision, Ashford Subdivision, and Waterfall Subdivision, bounded by Shady Grove Road, West Shady Grove Road, Broad River Road, and Mount Vernon Church Road.
