Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- An Elgin man won $200,000 from the SC Education Lottery recently, and elected to take his family to Disney World with the winnings.

Lottery Officials say he's taking the entire family to celebrate winning with a Red Hot Cash scratch-off ticket, including his wife & kids, and their grandchildren.

The odds of winning the $200,000 top prize in the scratch game was 1 in 500,000, and the Elgin resident won his after dropping his daughter off at school, stopping into a Vickmart store in Lugoff where he scratched the winner in the parking lot.

The Vickmart will be awarded a commission of $2,000 for selling the ticket, meanwhile the family will be enjoying the offerings at Walt Disney World in Orlando.
