Richland County, SC (WLTX) - Richland County deputies now say a morning bank robbery suspect is connected to a series of recent crimes.
Officers say the suspect robbed the Citizens First Bank in the 7000 block of Parklane Road around 10 a.m.
According to officers, an armed man with two backpacks walked into the bank and demanded money. When he got the cash, he left the business.
No one was hurt during the incident.
Surveillance cameras captured images of the suspect. Because of those pictures, officers now believe the suspect may be connected to the following crimes:
• Monday, April 8, 2013 at just before 3:30 AM at 8208 Two Notch Road (Waffle House), deputies say the suspect entered the business and placed an order for some food. He then went to the bathroom and returned at which time he presented a gun and stole the money from the cash register then fled the business.
• Saturday, April 6, 2013 at just after 1:00 PM at 2932 Alpine Road (Simba Express), deputies say the suspect entered the business and picked up an item which he pretended to buy and brought it to the register, at which time he presented a handgun and demanded money - the suspect then fled the business on foot.
