Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Richland County deputies arrested a man they say led them on a chase that ended in a crash.
Officers took Dewayne Lamar Evans, 34, into custody on multiple charges.
According to deputies, they attempted to stop Evans for an expired tag on Two Notch Road around 9 p.m. However, officers say he sped off, and the pursuit began.
The suspect's vehicle wrecked with two other vehicles near the intersection of Two Notch Road and Sparkleberry Extension.
Deputies took the suspect into custody, and there were no serious injuries reported, although one person was taken to Palmetto Health Hospital for treatment.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
