Jasmine went from Palm trees to Palmettos when she joined News 19 in June 2012.

She is from Orlando, Fla and landed in the Midlands through Gannett's Talent Development program, which chooses a select amount of exceptional college graduates throughout the country.

Jasmine is a graduate of The Florida State University in Tallahassee, Fla where she majored in media/communication studies. She was also a co-op student at Florida A&M University where she minored in journalism.

Even though Jasmine isn't very good at sports, she likes to report on them. She was a reporter for "Seminole Sports Magazine," a segment on Fox's Sun Sports. Jasmine enjoys writing sports features and hearing about athlete's stories off the field.

When she's not at the station, you can find Jasmine at any local arts and crafts store scouting out her next D.I.Y project. She's also a fan of Broadway musicals and  had a short stint in community theatre. Jasmine also enjoys working with children.

Jasmine is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and President of the South Carolina Association of Black Journalists, which is the only professional NABJ affiliate in the state.
