GAFFNEY, S.C. (AP) - A Gaffney man has been charged with murder after a man died four days after being shot at a gas station.
Cherokee County sheriff's investigators upgraded the charge against 27-year-old Brian Lamar McGill after 29-year-old John Quinton Rawlinson died from his injuries.
Rawlinson was pumping gas when he was shot April 22. He died Friday night at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
McGill had been charged with attempted murder. Those charges were upgraded Saturday.
It was not clear if McGill has an attorney. He was being held in the Cherokee County jail.
