Lexington County, SC (WLTX) - The Lexington County community is rallying around a Pelion High School student in need of a new heart.
Jake Paul, 16, was diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy in November of 2012.
Jake has been at MUSC waiting in desperate need of a heart Transplant. As you can imagine, his medical bills are piling up.
If you would like to help the family, a fund has been set up at any First Citizens Bank.
There are also two fundraisers taking place next month in honor of Jake. The first is a bike and car wash a week from Saturday at Ventures Sports Bar and Grill on the Edmund Highway in Lexington. The event is taking place from 11 until 3 and all donations are welcome.
And on June 29 a benefit ride is taking place in Lexington for Jake. It will start at JT's in Lexington off of Highway 378 and will end at Bunky's in Sandy Run. There will be food, games, live entertainment and a raffle with lots of prizes.
