GASTONIA, N.C. (AP) - A third person has accused the wrestling coach at East Gaston High School of sex crimes.
Gary Scott Goins was back in court on Friday on two new counts of crime against nature.
The 44-year-old Goins was arrested Wednesday and charged with 14 counts of indecent liberties with a child and one count of statutory rape of a minor, age 6 or older. Authorities say the alleged incidents happened between 1998 and 2004.
Gaston County authorities say a former student came forward with accusations in February. As investigators checked into the allegations, a second accuser emerged. Now, a relative of one of the initial accusers says he was also abused.
Goins is free on bond and is suspended with pay. An attorney appeared in court with him Friday.
