Lexington County Special Weapons Team Arrest Three

Lexington County, SC (WLTX)-  Three people were arrested Friday on charges that involve multiple drug related crimes.

Officers with the Lexington County Multi-Agency Narcotics Enforcement Team (NET) and the Lexington County Sheriff's Department Special Weapons and Tactics Team (SWAT) executed a search warrant on Friday at a home on Deer Crossing near Gaston.

Officers arrested two men and one woman on charges that involve the sale of cocaine, crack cocaine and marijuana. Officers also seized cocaine, crack cocaine and marijuana with a combined street value of about $3,000 as well as two firearms that officers found at the residence.

Lexington County Sheriff James R. Metts said NET officers arrested Brittney Nicole Jay, 26, Samuel Derrell Sims, 20, and Christopher Tywhun Wilson, 37.

Jay, Sims and Wilson all live in the home, where NET officers and the SWAT Team executed the search warrant on Friday morning.
NET officers arrested Jay on charges of trafficking in crack cocaine, possessing cocaine with the intent to distribute it, possessing marijuana with the intent to distribute it and possessing a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.

Officers arrested Sims on charges of trafficking in crack cocaine, possessing cocaine with the intent to distribute it, possessing marijuana with the intent to distribute it, possessing a firearm during the commission of a violent crime, distributing cocaine and distributing crack cocaine. Officers arrested Wilson on charges of trafficking in crack cocaine, possessing cocaine with the intent to distribute it, possessing marijuana with the intent to distribute it, possessing a firearm during the commission of a violent crime and two counts of distributing cocaine.

Jay, Sims and Wilson each were being held on Friday at the Lexington County Detention Center while awaiting bond hearings. NET officers obtained the search warrant for the Deer Crossing home as a result of an undercover investigation that officers began conducting about two months ago.
