BATESBURG-LEESVILLE, S.C. (AP) - A special camp for South Carolina children who are battling cancer is wrapping up a week of activities.
The week-long Camp Kemo finishes Saturday at Camp Kinard near Batesburg-Leesville.
The camp designed for pediatric cancer patients and their siblings is hosted by Palmetto Health Children's Hospital. Monetary and in-kind donations allow more than 100 kids a year to attend Camp Kemo free of charge.
This year's theme has been the county fair. Organizers say kids have enjoyed rides and fair food alongside camp favorites like arts, crafts and swimming.
