Columbia, SC (WTLX) - The parents of the former Camden Military Academy cadet who alleges he was physically and sexually assaulted while at the school testified in federal court Monday.
The alleged victim's father and mother broke down in tears while describing phone conversations they had with their son while he was enrolled at the state's official military academy.
Both parents broke down while on the witness stand describing cell phone calls they had with their son while he was at the state's official military academy.
They also described calls with the school's administrators who they say did not accurately represent incidents that allegedly happened at the school.
Both parents indicated they never knew the full extent of the allegations made by their son until after he'd withdrawn from the school. At one point, the father testified, "We went and got him as soon as we could piece it all together."
The trial is in it's second week at the Matthew J. Perry Federal Courthouse in Columbia.
