COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - A Columbia man has been arrested in a wreck that killed an infant boy in the car.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol says the wreck happened around 11 p.m. Tuesday when the car ran off the road and hit several trees.
Twenty-four-year-old Justin Johnson is charged with felony DUI, child endangerment and simple possession of marijuana.
The child died at Palmetto Health Richland hospital. Richland County Coroner Gary Watts identified the child as Mason Nikolai Nalls.
Watts says Johnson is the boyfriend of the child's mother, who was at work when the incident took place.
Johnson is being held in the Richland County jail. It was not clear whether he has an attorney.
