CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - State authorities say a Mount Pleasant man who was disbarred from practicing law in Washington state has been arrested for practicing law in South Carolina.
The Post & Courier of Charleston reports (http://bit.ly/15OkSKj) the State Law Enforcement Division said 55-year-old Bradley R. Marshall was charged Friday with practicing law without a license.
According to an affidavit, a North Charleston attorney was contacted by Marshall last October in reference to a former client who he was now representing for a workman's compensation claim.
Authorities said that in April 2012, the North Charleston attorney had received several requests from former clients to turn their files over to Marshall.
Officials said Marshall was disbarred by the State of Washington Supreme Court in 2009. He is not a member of the South Carolina Bar.
