Kershaw County, SC (WLTX) -- SLED, Kershaw County Deputies and volunteers from the University of South Carolina searched a field in Kershaw County for the possible remains of a woman who has been missing since September of 2011.

Officers searched in Elgin for any clues in the disappearance of Adriana Laster. Investigators, however, say the search did not turn up any new developments in the case.

The search included the same field where the body of 15-year-old Gabbiee Swainson was found earlier this month.

Laster's family say she and Freddie Grant had been in a relationship. Grant later confessed to the killing of Gabbiee Swainson. Investigators have said they believe Grant is connected to Laster's disappearance and possible death.

The Kershaw County Sheriff tells News19 that crews used ground penetrating radar to search the area, but the search did not turn up any results.

Sheriff Jim Matthews says he expects another search to happen in the same area in the next two weeks.
