Columbia, SC (WLTX) -Brides are usually nervous before the big day but now 27 are a bit more nervous than usual.
Bella Vista Bridal and Wedding Boutique has sent a letter to 27 customers who are still waiting on wedding gowns, to let them know they're closing their Gervais Street storefront.
The letter states that Bella Vista's location in the Vista was the problem and says the store was concerned for the health of it's employees and customers.
The letter even includes photos of rats the boutique says were crawling around their space.
They say they included the photos to "keep the drama in check".
According to the letter though, Bella Vista also decided to file for Chapter 7.
The letter assures brides that even though the business has filed for bankruptcy, brides will still be able to get their gowns.
It also provides instructions for brides on how to get their gowns.
Brides are asked to contact a third party agent that will respond with further information about each dress, including an expected delivery date.
Other bridal shops in the Midlands say they've already been contacted by Bella Vista customers who have chosen to lose their deposit money so they can buy a totally different dress from a store that's still open for business.
