Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Columbia police have arrested two men wanted in connection with a carjacking on Marion Street.

Telvin Grayson, 22, and James Davis, 24, are both charged with carjacking, attempted armed robbery and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime. Grayson is also charged with failure to stop for blue lights.

According to Columbia police, both suspects are accused of stealing an SUV from a male victim.  A Columbia police officer spotted a vehicle at the intersection of Harden Street and Colonial Drive, a vehicle that matched the description of an SUV stolen from the 1400 block of Marion Street.

As part of the initiated traffic stop, the officer activated the blue lights and siren but Grayson allegedly did not stop.  Instead, according to police, he continued to drive a few blocks, then both suspects jumped out of the car on Adams Street while it was still in motion.

The vehicle crashed into a fence. No one was injured.

The suspects were tracked by K-9 units to a High Street home.  Grayson and Davis were arrested there and taken for questioning.

Police say a gun was recovered from the vehicle.
