Lexington, SC (WLTX) - The Lexington County Stormwater Association has dubbed September "Strom Drain Tagging Month."
It's an initiative to educate the Lexington County community about the dangers of polluting or illegally dumping into the county's storm drains. This month, storm drains will be tagged in neighborhoods in and around Lexington County with a marker letting people know about the connection between storm drains and area waterways.
Officials are looking for volunteers to help tag drains in the county. Volunteers interested in participating in storm drain tagging month should contact Synithia Williams, Lexington County Environmental Coordinator, at (803) 785-8634 or firstname.lastname@example.org
