Clarendon County, SC(WLTX)- According to South Carolina Highway Patrol a man is being charged after a vehicle collided with a tree Friday Afternoon, resulting in the fatality of one of the passengers in the vehicle.
The 2001 Landrover SUV was traveling Northbound on I-95 near the 106mm when the vehicle traveled off the left side of roadway and struck a tree.
The Driver, Henry Sims Farr, 19, along with three other passengers were transported to the hospital for medical care.
The 4th passenger was pronounced dead at the scene.
Sims is charged with one count of driving under the influence, possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance.
Sims is being held at the Clarendon County Jail. SCHP continues to investigate.
