Police: Three Arrested After Marijuana Plants Found

Springdale, SC (WLTX) - Springdale police have arrested three people in connection to a marijuana grow operation.

According to Springdale police chief Kevin Cornett, the department began an investigation after receiving an anonymous tip about marijuana being grown in West Columbia.  

When Springdale police arrived, they say they found one individual caring for two large marijuana plants located in the back yard of a home on Crest Drive.  During the search of the home, officers located additional marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a gun. 

Officers arrested the following suspects: Curtis Aukerman, 28, for possession of drug paraphernalia, manufacturing marijuana and manufacturing marijuana within a half mile of a school; Sean Sammons, 27, for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana; and Ashleigh Nobbs, 26 for possession of drug paraphernalia.

All threee were booked into the Lexington County Detention center.
