Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- A fatal wreck on the eastbound side of I-26 just before 7AM caused miles of backed up traffic.
The SC Highway Patrol were notified of the wreck at 6:50AM Monday morning. The accident closed two eastbound right lanes, causing traffic to be backed up for nearly 10 miles.
The accident also caused an additional fender-bender in the eastbound lanes due to inattentive drivers.
As of 8:35AM Patrol Officers along with first responders from Lexington County were still working to clear the wreck.
