Sumter County, SC (WLTX) -- A driver has died following a single-vehicle wreck Wednesday morning near Turbeville.
South Carolina Highway Patrol Corporal David Jones reports that at approximately 7:20 Wednesday morning, a 1999 GMC Sierra pickup crashed when traveling eastbound on SC 58.
According to the report, the pickup left the side of the road approximately 3 miles west of Turbeville and struck a tree, trapping the driver.
Highway Patrol say the driver was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.
The driver's identity has not been released, pending notification of next-of-kin.
The Sumter County Coroner's Office and the SC Highway Patrol are investigating.
