17-Year-Old Identified as Suspect in Shooting

Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Columbia police are searching for a 17-year-old teen they say is responsible for a shooting Friday.

Officers want to find Kejuan Antonio Gilyard on warrants for attempted murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.

Around 1 p.m., officers say Gilyard got into fight with another man in the parking lot of the Party Town Mini-Mart in the 2300 block of Two Notch Road. During the incident, police say Gilyard pulled out a gun and shot the victim.

The man was taken to the hospital where he's in intensive care.
