Kershaw County, SC (WLTX)- A man is behind bars in Kershaw County after a two-hour standoff Saturday evening.
The Kershaw County Sheriff's office says Henry Lamar Stover, 30, became violent last night after an argument with a female living with him.
The female victim told deputies Stover grabbed his double barrel shot gun. She then she took her three week old baby in the bedroom closet. Police arrived at the home and used grenades because Stover would not surrender.
He was arrested and charged with criminal domestic violence , resisting arrest and unlawful conduct toward a child. Deputies determined that Stover was wanted by KCSO on three narcotics charges and that he had just been released from prison following a conviction for unlawful conduct toward a child.
He has previous arrests for narcotics violations, traffic offenses, criminal domestic violence, trespassing, resisting arrest and failure to stop for a blue light.
Stover is in the Kershaw County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
