Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Columbia police have arrested a suspect in a recent robbery but are still looking for a suspect in another crime.
Officers say they've charged 19-year-old Paul Antonio Coleman with two counts of strong arm robbery.
According to police, on October 26th Coleman followed two men as they were walking in an alleyway near the 700 block of Saluda Avenue. Police say he demanded their belongings and made off with cash and a smartphone.
Officers say Coleman was out on bond for a robbery charge from North Carolina.
Meanwhile, officers still are searching for the person responsible for an armed robbery at happened at 1 a.m. on October 27th. The victim told police he was walking near the railroad tracks on Greene Street when two men approached him and asked for his belongings. One of the suspects had a gun.
As in the other crime, the men made off with cash and a smartphone. Investigators are trying to determine if the cases are related. Police have released photos of four persons of interests in their investigation.
