Lexington, SC (WLTX)- It's a day Jason Herring says he will never forget.

"It took the wind out of me, i'm so happy right now," said Jason.

Tuesday afternoon, he received an unexpected gift. A brand new $5,000 golf cart from an anonymous donor.

"A lot of people have been praying for me and prayers do answer back and that is what I believe," said Jason.

The 33-year-old has been out of sorts since Sunday, when he says his golf cart was stolen from his Lexington home.

"I felt shocked and really nervous and scared," said Jason.

Jason's dad, Chuck Herring, tells us the golf cart was stolen between 4:30 and 9:00 Sunday morning. But it's not just a golf cart, for Herring it is his independence.

"This is his means of transportation, this is how he gets to and from work," said Chuck.
