Chapin, SC (WLTX) -- Glasses can add a new twist to your look, but sometimes it can be quite the adjustment.

Noah Fisher, like many boys his age, likes to play with his toys.

But it's hard to be a hero, when you can't see.

"Were things blurry and fuzzy," Noah's mom Lindsey Fisher said.

"Mm-hmm," Noah said.

"He failed his eye exam, prior to that we had no clue he couldn't see," Fisher said.

After Fisher and her husband took Noah to get a pair of frames, everything seemed like it would be all right.

"I said, 'Put your glasses on,' and he just broke into tears. It was the saddest thing," she said. "It just broke my heart. And I finally got him to tell me why he was crying and he said because everyone was going to laugh at him."

Fisher decided to enlist the help of family and friends from all over the U.S.

And with Facebook it was just a click away.

"I had no idea it would turn into what it turned into," Fisher said.

Soon after the "Glasses For Noah" page gained hundreds of likes.

"It was very humbling to see how the community took time out of their day to post a picture of themselves for a little boy that half of them don't even know," Fisher said.

People flooded the timeline with pictures of themselves in glasses. And even superheroes.

Noah's favorite?

"The Hulk," Noah said.

Although Noah is getting more and more comfortable with his new glasses, Fisher says the posts are still pouring in.

"I don't know how many more likes or pictures we'll get but as long as I'm getting pictures, I'll keep showing them to him every night," she said.

"Thank you for all the pictures," Noah said.
