Dutch Fork Rolls to 54-14 Win Over Sumter, Wins 4A Title

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Matt Colburn ran for 210 yards and four touchdowns and the Dutch Fork defense limited Sumter to 16 yards of total offense in a dominating 54-14 victory Saturday night in the Class 4A, Division I State Championship game.

It's the Silver Foxes' first-ever football state championship.

Colburn scored on runs of 3, 4, 11 and 5 yards to give the junior 40 rushing touchdowns this season. He added 64 yards receiving on five catches to finish with 274 yards of offense.

Tyler Bass added field goals of 21, 25, 38 and 19 yards in the dominating performance. Derek Olenchuk threw for 256 yards and a touchdown as Dutch Fork (12-3) finished with 565 yards of total offense.

Sumter (9-6) scored on a 76-yard interception return by Demarcus Harris and an 82-yard kickoff return by Xzavion Burson. The Gamecocks only crossed midfield twice and registered four first downs, two via penalty.
