Santee, SC (WLTX) - Tesla Motors has opened an electric vehicle charging station in South Carolina off Interstate 95 in Santee that will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The station has six stalls and will serve Tesla Model S electric sedans and all future Tesla models. The California-based company designs and manufactures electric vehicles, as well as powertrain components for car companies such as Toyota.
The firm said the station is Tesla's first in the state. The closest other one is in Savannah, Georgia.
Tesla says the stations provide half a charge in about 20 minutes and a full charge in about 75 minutes.
