Woman Woken by Home Invasion Gunshot

Richland County, SC (WLTX) -- The Richland County Sheriff's department was called when a woman says people broke into her home and fired one gunshot.

According to RCSD spokesperson Sgt. Curtis Wilson, the victim contacted the Sheriff's department shortly after 2AM Friday when she was woken by the sound of a gunshot inside her home on Lambeth Drive in southeast Richland County.

She, and her two children, were sleeping when they heard the gunshot. They rose to find the front door of the home had been forced open. None of the victims were injured in the break-in.

Investigators did not report if any items had been stolen from the home.
