Seneca, SC (WLTX)-- The Oconee Sheriff's Office charged a man in relation to a homicide that occurred early Saturday morning in the Seneca area.

17-year-old Octavis Jamal Robinson is charged with Involuntary Manslaughter.

Authorities say deputies responded to reports of a gunshot victim around 1:28 a.m. on West Cherry Road. The victim, Rashean N. Parker II, 21, was found on the ground outside of a vehicle with a gunshot wound to the right side. Parker was transported to Oconee Medical Center, where investigators say he later died.

An autopsy will be conducted by the Oconee County Coroner on Monday.

Investigators determined that Robinson shot Parker in the back with a hand gun while fleeing in an automobile after an attempted armed robbery.

This is the second homicide of 2014 in Oconee County.

The Oconee County Sheriff's Office is continuing their investigation and more charges are pending.
