CALHOUN FALLS, S.C. (AP) -- The Calhoun Falls police chief says two officers have lost their jobs following allegations they had sex with women while on duty.
Chief Mike Alewine says 37-year-old Officer Raphael Jimenez resigned and 50-year-old officer Cleveland Cade was fired after he refused to resign.
Jimenez has denied any wrongdoing. A message on Cade's home answering machine said the voicemail was full.
Alewine says an investigation began Monday, two days after a former town councilwoman filed a complaint that Cade had threatened her granddaughter. A police report states the 22-year-old granddaughter told police Cade threatened to put her in jail for saying she saw him with other women.
Alewine would not provide any more information, citing an ongoing investigation.
