3rd Suspect ID'd in Jewelry Store Heist

Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Columbia police have identified a third suspect wanted in connection with a jewelry store heist.

Officers announced they have warrants for 54-year-old Earl Adrian Vandiver on charges of grand larceny and criminal conspiracy.

On June 14th, investigators say Vandiver, 53-year-old Robert Antoine Weathers, 50-year-old Robin Tracy Nelson, and another unidentified suspect took more took more than $100,000 from Moseley's Jewelry store on Bush River Road. According to police, three of the suspects distracted employees by pretending to be customers while Weathers took the jewels from a restricted area.

Weathers and Nelson were arrested earlier this week in Maryland. Police are working to extradite them to Columbia for prosecution. Previous Coverage:Jewelry Heist Suspects Arrested

National law enforcement believes that all of the suspects were targeting small jewelry stores in multiple states, taking anywhere between $350-500,000 in goods.
