'Armed & Dangerous' Suspect Wanted for Columbia Motel Robbery

Tonight Columbia Police are trying to identify a man accused of robbing a LaQuinta Inn employee at gunpoint.

Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Columbia police are searching for a suspect who they say robbed a motel early Friday morning.

Officers say just before 1:30 a.m., the armed suspect walked into the LaQuinta Inn at 7333 Garners Ferry Road. Police say he pointed a gun at an employee and demanded money from the register. 

After getting the cash, he left the building.

The suspect wore a light blue t-shirt and black shorts with a navy blue bandana over his face. It appears that he had a tattoo on his right forearm.

The suspect should be considered armed and dangerous.
