Man Passing Counterfeit Bills in The Midlands, Deputies Say

RICHLAND COUNTY, SC (WLTX) - The Richland County Sheriff's Department is searching for a man passing counterfeit bills. 

Deputies say a man purchased four money orders totaling $1,000 using twenty counterfeit $50 bills at the Gaz-Bah gas station located at 800 St. Andrews Road at about 11:40 a.m. on Sunday, July 16.

The suspect is described as a black male with long hair, facial hair, and of medium build.

Sheriff Leon Lott is asking for assistance in identifying the suspect. Anyone with information on this case is asked to contact Crimestoppers in any of the following ways:
