Bond Set for Teacher Charged with Sex Crime

Sumter, SC (WLTX) - Bond has been set at $150,000 for a Sumter teacher accused of sexually assaulting a student.

Elizabeth Moss, 31, appeared before a judge Friday afternoon.

Moss is a choral teacher at Chestnut Oaks Middle School. She's currently on administrative leave.

Sumter County deputies say Moss performed a sex act on a male student at her home back in April of 2013. Investigators also say she sent inappropriate messages to other students on Facebook. Previous Coverage: Sumter Teacher Accused of Sex Acts with Student

At Friday's hearing prosecutors say a teenage girl has also made claims against Moss.

Moss's attorney says the allegations were made after some students were disciplined.

The judge also ordered Moss not to have contact with the victims.
