RICHLAND COUNTY, SC - (WLTX) -- Officials from the Richland County Sheriff's Department say they are offering a hefty cash reward after a puppy was found severely burned in a church parking lot.

Sergeant Brittany Jackamonis from the Richland County Sheriff's Department says they are offering $2,000 to anyone who shares information about the incident that happened Saturday night, that leads to an arrest of the person responsible.
"We are making the reward a little bit more than we do for our regular Crime Stoppers because this is animal cruelty," Scott says. "We live in a state where we love our animals almost like our family."
Deputies say they are looking for a black male in his 20's who ran the opposite direction of Grace United Methodist Church on Harbison Boulevard.
