Police Searching for Armed Robbery Suspect

Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Columbia Police Officers say they are searching for a man that robbed a convenience store at gunpoint early Wednesday morning.

According to investigators, the incident occurred shortly before 1:00 a.m. at the Kangaroo Express on Forest Drive.

Officers say the female victim told them that the suspect entered the store, presented a handgun, and demanded money from the register.

They say the victim complied with the suspect's demands before he left on foot.

No one was hurt during the robbery.

The Columbia Police Department released surveillance video of the crime.
