Back on June 14th, officers say the group walked into Moseley's jewelry store on Broad River Road. Most of the suspects pretended to be customers, which police say distracted store employees. While the staff was busy, police say Weathers went into a restricted area where an open safe was located. Officers say he then slipped a tray full of diamonds into his suit jacket, then left the store with the other suspects.

Officers say Weathers and Nelson are wanted in other states including Michigan, Ohio, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Maryland for pulling off similar heists. Investigators believe the group likes to target small, independent jewelry stores and may have stolen between $350-$500,000 from other stores. .
