Deputies Arrest Teen for Threatening to Blow Up High School

Richland Deputies said a 16-year-old threatened on Facebook to blow up Columbia High School.

Richland County, SC (WLTX) -- The Richland County Sheriff's Department said they have arrested a Columbia High School student who threatened to blow up the school.

Lieutenant Curtis Wilson said they have charged a 16-year-old with threatening use of a weapon of mass destruction.

Lt. Wilson said the student threatened to blow up Columbia High School on Facebook.  He added that investigators were able to quickly identify the student and take them into custody.
