Deputies: Deadly Shooting at Richland County Club

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WLTX) - Richland County deputies are investigating after an early morning shooting leaves one person dead Thursday.

Deputies say, at about 1:30 Thursday morning, they responded to a shots fired call at "Bananas" night club on Decker Boulevard.

Deputies say they found a person lying unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body when they arrived at the location.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Coroner Gary Watts identified the person as 34-year-old Luther Jermaine Mitchell.

Investigators say they've identified a possible suspect in the crime, and are in the process of locating that person.
